learn how to choose the right
speaker
As much as I would like to work with you,
I cannot know if we are a good match until we speak in person.
The last thing I want is for you to book me if the fit is
wrong.
Here are some questions to explore when
you are looking for the right speaker.
What message do you want your people to
walk away with?
How much content versus fun are you looking
for?
What other objectives do you have? (for
example, teambuilding, team effectiveness, workplace wellness,
motivation, having fun, celebration.)
How customized a program do you want?
What hidden challenges (if any) are in the
way of meeting your objectives?
What will the room set up be? (Table rounds,
theatre style, auditorium etc.)
How many people will be in attendance? How
many of them know each other?
When will the presentation take place?
What is happening immediately before and
after?
What budget do you have available to ensure
you can meet your objectives?
If you have a very limited budget,
what product or services are you willing to barter to make
up the difference between what you have and the speaker’s
fee?
